An Omaha, NE-based project led by singer and songwriter Joe Knapp (best known as a collaborator with Bright Eyes), Son, Ambulance made their first recorded appearance on a split LP with the aforementioned Bright Eyes entitled Oh Holy Fools in 2001. Signed to Saddle Creek, Son, Ambulance -- then made up of Knapp, Robert Little (bass), Jeff Koster (drums), and Jeff Tafolla (keys) -- released their own full-length debut later that year, entitled Euphemystic.
